I have both WKD and Autocrypt on so Proton and Delta Chat users go right ahead and use that same address.

Normal email is fine too.

I do sometimes block senders but I’m slightly less trigger-happy with the blocks on email so that’s a good way for appealing blocks I’ve made elsewhere.

Email is the best and politest way to reach me. If you’re like “what app should I use to ask Sandra something”, that’s email.

I interact with it via email.

Bookwyrm

I try to use that same account when commenting on other Fedi sites like Lemmy and Peertube and Pixelfed and so on but for Bookwyrm specifically I also registered @Sandra@wyrms.de
Reviews are crossposted to my homepage here; I might get to the backlog of reviews from the few weeks before I started crossposting later.

Threads

My Fediverse server doesn’t block Threads so that same @Sandra@idiomdrottning.org username should work, but I haven’t done anything special to support it either. Meta is not a good company.

Bluesky

For now I’m just relying on the bridge from Fedi: @Sandra.idiomdrottning.org.ap.brid.gy

IRC

I am sometimes on IRC. Not every day, but I pop in from time to time.

I am sandra on OFTC, Libera.Chat, Akkoma.Dev, and Tilde.Chat.

However, often when I open my IRC app, I see that people have messaged me saying “hi Sandra” and then logged off leaving me no way to reply to them. Use a bouncer, you primitive screwheads!

XMPP

My XMPP is sandra.snan@idiomdrottning.org (same as my email). I have OMEMO on there.

Matrix

You can also talk to my IRC account from Matrix through their bridge to OFTC. My username there is @_oftc_sandra:matrix.org

If your Matrix instance has an email bridge, you can also use your Matrix app to talk to my email app.

Encryption doesn’t work through those bridges, so I have a real Matrix account also but I use that very seldomly or by appointment.

Gemini

This webpage also has a Gemini version at gemini://idiomdrottning.org.

The addresses that end with an /en filter out non-English posts but the address that don’t have that suffix still do contain the English posts as well as other languages like Swedish.

Many posts are crossposted to a couple of categories so if you subscribe to say /programs you also get posts that are both programs and politics, say. So if you want a union of a couple of the categories, that’s easy, just subscribe to multiple feeds. If you want intersections or exclusions or other weird filtering you’ll gonna have have to some scripting on your end. Plenty of RSS readers ha\ve good filter support.

Silo sites

I have never had an account on Facebook, X (nor Twitter), Instagram, or Google Plus.

I have a BoardGameGeek account that I do use kind of heavily. My username on there is snth with the display name Dust Pixie. I don’t endorse BGG and am trying to graudally use it less or come up with alternatives.

I try to never use Reddit anymore but I do have two accounts. Pink2DS for casual stuff and Idiomdrottning for when I want to be more formal; I registered it to post art but then only ended up posting a couple of pieces. I do not check messages very often on there so it’s not a good way to reach me.

I belatedly registered an anonymous Tumblr account just for Maro’s blog when I’m in into Magic cards, a hobby I tend to drift in and out of.

I actually started using Discord for some local meetups and that feels like a horrible backslide and I absolutely am not looking to expand that presence in any way. Please switch to email, IRC, XMPP, Fedi or Matrix.
