The new giant ad screens are up now (It’s called Metrovision) and they are also incredibly bright. So that’s the silver lining, I thought it was gonna be hard to look away from them but I can’t even look at them, they’re too bright. They’re everywhere in both directions so it’s not possible to look away from them either, without holding my hands up around my face while I’m looking at the ground (which makes me look like a weirdo).
Our world is so incredibly wrong-headed and misguided.
Trains don’t run better with these.
No one is helped.
They use electricity and electronics and rare minerals.
They do not generate any money or resources or value.
All they’re designed to do is shift money around.
I hate them, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them.
We’re told to save electricity which I gladly do but every single one of these draws like 15 times much power as my entire home.
Most ad campaigns lose money. To the extent that any of them do work, that means we are paying for our own torture.
