I use public key cryptography email many times every day but… only with people I’ve exchanged keys with, obviously. Sometimes I wanna email someone and I see their key and just as I’m about to import it, I realize that since they don’t have my key, they won’t be able to open my message.
It’s much easier with people who send their keys as autocrypt headers. Love it.
Edit: Peeps telling me that I was wrong and they can use just their private key to unencrypt messages encrypted with their public key without them needing my public key. Still looking for verification on that, but if true, that was certainly embarrassing for me. But it’s OK.♥ I’ll unlist this page for now; feel free to keep linking to it and it’ll stay up, but I’m removing it from my index and feeds.
